All About Mark Wilson
“We All Started At Zero”
This phrase really is the epidemy of my journey. It took me awhile to be okay with starting at ground zero, but it is one of the main reasons I have been able to be successful. I’m just a regular guy that wanted more from his life and I wanted to be able to stop missing those special moments in life that make it memorable.
I didn’t grow up in a wealthy family. I was born with a pretty severe learning disability and a speech impediment. I wasn’t supposed to read past a third-grade level which gave me no special advantages or things that would help vault my success. I only tell you this because as I said before everyone starts at zero and just like everyone, I had to learn to work with what I had…
I grew up living in BC, Canada. My parents split up when I was in the 8th grade, so those teenage finding yourself years were tough. By the time I graduated I had no direction in life and was in survival mode with no real identity of who I was, or what I wanted… I was lost
As my years passed in my adulthood, I was trying out different careers and jobs and nothing seemed to fit… Sales, factory, oil rigs, and customer service. None of them seemed right but with no formal education other than my High School diploma it didn’t look good.
Now what?
I had found a mechanic shop that was part of a corporation that was ripe for a restructuring. I went from being the low man on the totem pole to being groomed for management to all the way to be the shop manager within a few years.
It wasn’t my ideal job, but finally I was growing, I felt like I was part of something. I was on that pathway I was always told would bring me to that white picket fence lifestyle. Unfortunately, that did not end up being true, but I will forever be in debt to them for giving me that opportunity by helping me grow and support myself and my family for many years.
After many days and years passed; it started to get stale. The growth stopped and reality started to kick in. I had never traveled or been on a vacation. I was broke and living paycheck to paycheck, things did not look like they were ever going to get better.
One night, I turned to a friend and for whatever reason he decided this was the night I needed a reality check… I needed to start taking action and stop complaining! I was inspired.
I had one buddy that had been killing it in the online world and it always seemed like he was so happy with what he was doing. So being at such a low, I decided what’s the worst that could happen… That’s when everything changed…
Fast fast from 2017 and I have now found my purpose in life. The place I belonged this whole time was online, which is crazy because it was so outside my comfort zone in the first place. Put it this way when I started, I didn’t even know how to create an Instagram page… It was sad but hilarious when my wife told me to get off my computer and do it from my phone, if I wanted to create one, but that is where I started right at zero.
Now that I had finally found the success I was looking to achieve and gained that ultimate freedom I desired to take control over my life and what I did with my time. I knew I needed to find a way that I could help others mimic what I was doing and put it on a more global scale. I knew what I had was a gift and it should be shared with as many people as I possible could.
I have a Dream… I am on a Mission…
Helping people make money is amazing, I got a lot of fulfillment from that, but there was no better feeling then when people come up to me saying that they are happier than they have ever been. They have finally found their happy place too and to me that is the greatest feeling in the world; other than my children being born!
It is my mission to be able to teach, help, and serve as many people as possible. Let’s start creating a life that we love and step into your creative genius that we all have in us. This is so much more of an opportunity; you can create an income out of something you love. I believe EVERYONE deserves that.
Just because you are at zero now does not mean that needs to be your fate. We all must start somewhere but the key is to start in the first place.
I could go on and on on the way DFM has changed my life and shifted my mindset to such a better place in life but I would rather speak on the people themselves that have impacted me the most.
Kelland and I have a very unique way we got connected. We actually met while I was back packing through Panama and had three very random encounters over the next 3 days. I knew it was a sign Kelland was supposed to be in my life and help me on my adventure. So anyone that may not think he is a real dude…. HE IS. He has continued to show up and inspire me to be better and do more.
Luisa what a Gem!! She is so helpful and inspirational, does what she can to help people achieve their goals & dreams 🤗 the world needs more of this 👆
